HZI – Ferrybridge FM2

The FM2 project was a new build renewable ‘waste to energy’ site. Project Management services provided with responsibility for the delivery of the standalone boiler package, consisting of a boiler build which had the capacity of 117MW.

The project required extensive design and planning to achieve the most efficient construction schedule by installing the boiler building pipework and equipment in modular form with final ‘tie-in’ spools and equipment ‘tie-ins’. The project was a huge success and over the three-year construction period there was a total of 6,750 tonnes of modular prefabricated units installed and peaked at nearly 900 people on site
